Third edition.
The transcultural master in the field of health social and welfare care offered at the university of Modena e Reggio Emilia in Italy is about to open for its third edition this academic year. Once again we have a full course with 25 students coming from all over Italy and representing at least 6 different disciplines.

The course offers many lessons/discussions in English and has a multidisciplinary teaching staff which is deeply rooted within the professional working community.
Our course is actively encouraging an interdisciplinary approach and is closely connected to the community needs and is strongly sponsored by the regional gov’t. of Emilia Romagna and provincial gov’t of Modena and local industry.

Announcing an on-line short course in Cultural Competence
I am writing to tell you about a new web-based distance learning course Middlesex University is offering, commencing in March 2008. Promoting Cultural Competence has been developed by Professor Irena Papadopoulos, an eminent figure and leading researcher in the fields of transcultural health and nursing, and cultural competence studies. Students will be able to utilise the credits gained by successful completion of this module to progress towards advanced studies/awards.
