Apostolara Paraskevi comes from Greece. She is married and mother of a six-years old child. Since 1996, she has been working as a PICU nurse in the private and the public sector. The Intensive care unit of the General Pediatric Hospital of Penteli- Athens is her present workplace. She is a PhD Candidate in Transcultural Nursing in the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens-Faculty of Nursing (EKPA) and holds a master degree (MSc) in the specialty of Community Nursing. She is also an alumnus of the Pedagogic Technical Faculty of Athens. Additionally, since 2002 she has been working as a laboratory collaborator of EKPA, as well as, of the Department of Nursing polytechnic college of Athens. She speaks English and Italian fluently and has a good knowledge of computers. She has a rich experience in author's and researcher’s field. Finally, since 2007, she has been the reserve representative of the country (Greece) in the European Transcultural Nursing Association (ETNA).
